Time travels, but where does she go?

May 30, 2007

I have realized why I am affixed by the notion of time travel: Though our deaths may occur at some near or distant point in time, we may yet still exist farther into the future than that moment. If we can exist beyond our inevitable demise, we are then one step closer to living forever. If Time can be tricked in one manner, then perhaps it can be tricked in another.

If Time can be tricked, then perhaps I could sneak a few more hours or a thousand years more with her than what Time has scheduled for us in her black book.

Some people try to bargain with Death, but they’re talking to the wrong person. Death is a clerk who simply punches a timecard. Time is the merciless bitch who applies company policy down to the letter. I guess it’s too much to ask for new management.
